Together with members like you, we are Canada’s voice for birds!
Our mission is to conserve wild birds through sound science, on-the-ground actions, innovative partnerships, public engagement, and science-based advocacy.
Birds Canada is a non-profit, charitable organization built on the enthusiastic contributions of thousands of caring members and volunteer Citizen Scientists. Data (observations) collected by Citizen Scientists, alongside targeted research projects, are used to identify significant bird population changes and help direct conservation planning.
Our national headquarters is located in Port Rowan, Ontario, connected to the historic Long Point Bird Observatory, with regional offices from coast to coast.
With their colours and songs come much-needed release and relief. Birds are everywhere and connect you to nature, your family and a community. During May, 50 million birds will dazzle the city with colour, music and hope. We will bring your friends and family online events, webinars and online courses. Events and activities are mostly free and open to all. Register soon!
