Billions of birds travel thousands of kilometres just to find a mate that could very well have been their neighbour in South America. But they choose to come to North America to raise their young. What’s even more fascinating are the different habitats and nests that are built. For me, nest construction and breeding behaviour is the real spectacle, it is their purpose and creates generations to ensure future populations.
