Toronto’s biggest festival has 50 million feathered performers. Join this online panel to learn how to explore birds around you in your home or neighbourhood throughout the year. This panel is specially tailored for people with a disability, their friends and their families.
We will explore our panellist stories, opportunities and hurdles that lead them to discover birds and their wonders. Leona Mattice is leading the creation of a multi-use accessible park in Elliot Lake. Jerry Berrier learned birding by ear in his teenage years and has pioneered an audio system to listen to the birds in his adopted home. Christine Malec supported creating a Birding by Ear online course for people with blindness and low vision. They will show how birding is for people with all abilities.
