Explore the Rouge’s bird diversity as the forests, meadows and wetlands begin to wake up. Each spring the Rouge becomes a critical refueling stop, and home for thousands of migrating birds. Those that settle to make the valley system their home have been under increasing pressures from the surrounding environment and activities. Help us as we survey the Rouge for rare birds, documenting their location and breeding status. You may spot an endangered or rare species or simply discover your new favourite bird.
All are welcome. RVCC is hoping for a few intermediate to advanced birders who can ID birds by song as well as by sight.
This event is running twice: May 7th and 28th.
To register for this event, please email your name and contact information (email and phone #) as well as your birding level of expertise (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and if you have access to a car to events@rvcc.ca.
