Discover birds and Toronto with this breathtaking experience; join Bird Studies Canada and Toronto Island SUP for a special edition Paddleboarding experience through the hidden waterways of the island lagoons. We will be visiting several Environmentally Significant Areas by water, something that few ever get the pleasure to experience. We regularly witness a surfeit of bird species here including birds of prey and many migratory species.
Join us, along with professional birders, to witness the spectacle that is best viewed by water. We will be visiting several Environmentally Significant Areas with the hopes to catch a glimpse of some rare bird species. Most years we spot over 30 species! Please note that water temperatures can still be low this time of year and a neoprene wetsuit is recommended if you have that option. A 1mm to 3mm rashguard top will help if a full wetsuit is not an option. Wetsuits can be purchased at various Toronto watersports establishments and can be rented from Surf The Greats.
