Migratory birds connect us with their unique songs and flights and remind us of the importance of working together, across borders, to protect them.
In this webinar we will talk about one of the most important wetlands in the Pacific Flyway, especially for three species of shorebirds: Western Sandpiper, Dunlin and Black-bellied plover.
We will address the main threats that these species encounter in the Fraser Estuary IBA and explore some solutions that require connecting across borders and a vision of shorebird conservation from an international perspective.
Presenters:
James Casey: Fraser River Estuary Important Bird and Biodiversity Area Specialist, Birds Canada
Borja Heredia: Senior Advisor Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Spain
