Birding is a rewarding pastime that can connect you to nature’s rhythms throughout the year, but can you do it in a city like Toronto? Yes you can! Our city is a wonderful place to see birds in any season, and opportunities to observe and appreciate birds are possible from almost anywhere. Join the Toronto Ornithological Club’s Emily Rondel for this webinar, and get the tips you need to get started with your urban birding adventure!

Be sure to join this session with the President of the Toronto Ornithological Club, Emily Rondel. Although always fascinated by wildlife, Emily Rondel didn’t think it was something she could find in her home of downtown Toronto…until she started birding as a graduate student. Birds allowed her to see the amazing wild diversity that had always been on her doorstep, and she was soon totally hooked! She soon changed her Master’s topic to one that focused on bird research and has been observing birds for both work and play ever since. Emily has studied birds throughout Ontario over the past 15 years, and has travelled widely in search of exotic bird species, but her favourite places to go birding are still in the wilds of Toronto.
