A meeting with a Striated Caracara in the late 1990s changed Jonathan Meiburg’s life, setting him on a quest to learn everything he could about the world’s ten caracara species; where these birds of prey come from, how they survive, and how their adaptations could help them evolve in a changing world. In his quest, Jonathan discovered so much more than he expected, and he tells of his adventures and findings in his recently published first book – A Most Remarkable Creature: The Hidden Life and Epic Journey of the World’s Smartest Birds of Prey. Join us for this interview and discussion with Jonathan to learn more about his adventures in discovering these fascinating birds and their world.
