Description: This “drop-in” style outing is primarily focused on seeing and learning about Whimbrels passing through the park on their long journey north to nesting grounds in the tundra.  This park is one of the only places they gather in southern Ontario. Suitable for all birders.

RouteThis outing occurs on the day of the Spring Bird Festival. There will be lots of signage indicating the route along the main path to the Whimbrel Watch at Whimbrel Point, where you will meet your hosts. Ask at the Friends of Sam Smith tables if you are unsure; volunteers will direct you.

Registration: RSVP is NOT required. There is no maximum number of attendees for this event. If you wish to RSVP, you will receive a copy of the event details and a reminder email.
